SI Senate President Chiz Escudero niingon nga dili nila mapahigayon ang impeachment trial batok ni Vice-President Sara Duterte samtang naa ss break ang Congress.
Sa Kapihan sa Senado forum, si Escudero gipangutana kon possibly ba nga mapahigayon ang impeachment trial bisan kon naka-adjour sa ilang session ang Kongreso.
“Wala. Legally it cannot be done. Again, as I’ve said because the impeachment court was not convened.”
“The impeachment complaint was not referred to the plenary for there to be a basis for the impeachment court to be convened by the Senate sitting as a legislative body. Hindi muna as an impeachment court,” dugang ni Escudero.
Ang Senate mo-resume sa session karon pang Hunyo 2.
