“Our EOC data analysis report shows that non-essential gatherings (i.e. eating/drinking spree, attending parties and team building activities), less practice of health protocols, slackening measures for inbound and transit travelers, as well as the submission of false documents to avoid mandatory quarantine requirements are among the major reasons why there seems to be a spike in active cases,”sigon ni Mayor Labella.
“While it is still manageable, we must not be complacent. We need to anticipate human behavior in order to mitigate the risk, and that is why I have announced the tightening of border controls starting today. This does not mean that our efforts are back to zero. In fact, we are just re-implementing measures recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force that have been put in place since our community quarantine started,”dugang sa mayor.
“The Cebu City Government will continue the strict monitoring of minimum health protocols in restaurants and public spaces. We are not going to lessen the capacity of establishments, so we encourage them to cooperate in protecting the health and lives of people in Cebu,”pasabot ni Labella.
