DIGITAL DRIVER’S LICENSE ILUSAD

Kay nahutdan man og plastic cards para sa driver’s license, nagplano ang Land Transportation Office uban sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) sa paglusad sa electronic version sa driver’s license.

Sigon ni ni LTO chief Jay Art Tugade, kabahin sab kini sa paninguha sa ahensya aron ma-digitalize ang ilang services.

Matod no Tugade nga ang digital license magsilbi nga alternative sa physical driver’s license card, nga ilang i-integrated o iipon sa he “super app” nga gi-develop sa DICT.

“The advantage of the digital license is that motorists can present it to law enforcement officers during apprehension. It is equivalent to the physical driver’s license,” matod ni Tugade.

Ang digital license maisip sab nga laing alternative sa Official Receipt (OR) nga gigamit isip temporary driver’s license nga karon giimprinta sa papel tungod sa shortage sa plastic cards.

Ang DICT giingong mo-integrate niini sa government’s “eGov PH app,” nga giplanong ilusad sa June 2023.
